The TAPCIS documentation is extensive. We've not held anything back. There
are 223 pages in this electronic version of the printed documentation.
Only the screen shots are missing.
Note that rather than printing the documentation to your computer printer,
you can choose to purchase the printed manual and current version on 1.44MB
diskette for $19.50 + shipping and handling ($3.50 in the US, $7.50 in
Canada/Mexico/Central & South America, $12.50 for airmail to all others).
You can purchase the manual/disk from us via CompuServe Mail and a major
credit card, or charge it to your CompuServe account via the GO CIS:SWREG
service. You do not need to be a registered TAPCIS customer to purchase the
printed manual and disk set.

Documentation Format
We've broken the documentation down into chapters, each with the .DOC
file extension. The chapters are sequentially called:
TITLE.DOC Title page, Table of Contents, License Agreement
QKSTART.DOC Chapter 1: Quick Start (Please read!)
OVERVIEW.DOC Chapter 2: Overview (Read this, too!)
MAINMENU.DOC Chapter 3: Main Menu & Boxes
READING.DOC Chapter 4: Reading Messages
MARKING.DOC Chapter 5: Marking Headers
WRITING.DOC Chapter 6: Writing & Editing
LIBRARY.DOC Chapter 7: Libraries
OTHER.DOC Chapter 8: Other Features
CONNECT.DOC Chapter 9: Connect to CompuServe
SETUP.DOC Chapter 10: Setup
INDEX.DOC Index
The DOS batch file MAKEDOC.BAT will take all these files and combine them
into a single TAPCIS6.DOC file. You do this by issuing the command "MAKEDOC"
from a DOS prompt in the directory where you installed these files.
If you read nothing else, please read QKSTART.DOC and OVERVIEW.DOC.
There are formfeeds separating the pages with footers at the bottom of each
page giving the section name and page number. Since the TAPCIS documentation
is cross referenced, those page footers are necessary.
You can print the documentation using the DOS PRINT program, although we use
PPRINT or 4PRINT (especially on laser printers where you can get two pages
on one sheet of paper). Both are available in the TAPCIS Forum Library 2.
